Fergus O'Carroll
Fergus O'Carroll was born in Waterford, Ireland, into a musical family, settled on the French Horn after trying his luck on the violin and trumpet. He studied with Victor Malirsh in the Royal Irish Academy of Music under a scholarship from the Irish Youth Orchestra while finishing his schooling at St Finian's College, Mullingar, home of the Schola Cantorum. He then joined the RTE Symphony Orchestra as fourth horn until 1977, when he was appointed 1st Horn with the RTE Concert Orchestra. In the meantime, Fergus studied horn with Niko Gruger of the Munich Conservatoire of Music and Dale Clevenger of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He returned to the RTE Symphony Orchestra in 1985 (then re-named the National Symphony Orchestra) and has since been Section Principal First Horn as well as performing as soloist with most of the orchestras in the country.

Brendan Breslin 
Brendan Breslin comes from Sion Mills, Co Tyrone, and attended St. Colman's High School. It was here that his musical career began in earnest under the late Harry Gault, Terry Doherty and Colm Meyler, learning piano, tuba, guitar, and percussion being his main focus. In 2000 Brendan began his studies in Queens University Belfast, specializing in performance and compostion. It was during his college years that he began to hone his skills a professional musician, arranger/composer and conductor.

Brendan, now a full-time professional musician, has  been highly acclaimed for his compositional work, with ensembles across the country featuring his work and commissions, such as Dublin Concert Band, Strabane Concert Brass, St Josephs Brass Band, Arklow Silver Band, Rathfarnham Concert Band, and the Band of An Garda Siochana. His music has also featured on television and radio, and has featured as the back-drop to shows in venues such as The National Concert Hall, The Millenium Forum, The Metropole  (Cork Jazz Festival), as well as other theatre's across the country.
